For card printer BinAx 300
Function of a magnetic card
When encoding the magnetic strip with the BinAx 300, whether LoCo or HiCo, the magnetic particles are magnetised in the direction of the north or south pole. Each character is encoded on the magnetic strip with a bit group consisting of the values 1 and 0. The polarity of the magnetic particles defines the value of the bit. By alternately magnetising these particles on the magnetic strip, information can be encoded in binary form, which can be read by a suitable reader.
Hico & LoCo
Coercivity is the strength of a magnetic field that is required to change the data on a magnetic strip. Here we distinguish between the two variants LoCo and HiCo:
HiCo magnetic strips (High Coercivity) have a higher protection against external influences.
LoCo magnetic strips (Low Coercivity) have a lower protection against external influences.
Info: With this coder you can encode and write on both HiCo and LoCo cards. A corresponding software is necessary.
LoCo magnetic strips (Low Coercivity) have a lower protection against external influences.
Info: With this coder you can encode and write on both HiCo and LoCo cards. A corresponding software is necessary.
