Re-transfer card printing with Datacard SR200
This type of card printing does not print directly on the plastic card. The motif is first printed on a foil and then transferred to the card with approx. 200 degrees heat. The decisive advantages of this printing method are the completely over-the-edges card printing, a considerably better print quality and the better printing of uneven plastic cards such as RFID cards.

You have never printed plastic cards before? No problem - this is how it works...
The Datacard SR200 card printer is connected to your computer via USB cable or network connection, just like any other printer. Printing on plastic cards works basically the same way as printing on paper. Instead of toner, Datacard uses the appropriate printing ribbons. This is done by opening the flap and is absolutely uncomplicated and done in 1 minute. Approx. every 1000 prints you should clean the card printer with the special cleaning cards (duration approx. 2 minutes). You can start printing from any program (Word, Office etc.). You do not need any special software. The application is very easy. You can find an overview of all card printers here ►
