The Hiti CS200e and Hiti CS220e card printers require the appropriate chip for card printing. This chip is inserted into the side of the open printer. Without this chip, no plastic cards can be printed.
The chip for the monochrome ribbons is included with every card printer. If this chip is lost or defective, you will need a replacement chip. The identification of this chip is "K". You will find the identification on the short side that faces upwards after insertion into the card printer.
With all colorful ribbons (YMCKO), a separate chip is supplied with each ribbon. Therefore, it is not necessary to exchange or reorder the chip for these ribbons. In the printer driver, select the corresponding ribbon for the chip and the ribbon inserted.
