Encoder Module for Card Printer HID Fargo HDP5000
With the Fargo Option Encoder 89202, you have a multifunctional smart card encoding module with which you can easily encode contact smart cards and contactless HID iClass and Mifare cards.
With encoders of the card printer HID Fargo HDP5000, you can encode corresponding Smart Cards or RFID cards. Special software, as Cardpresso, is required for encoding. Decisive for the right coder are the cards you use and the reading system you have installed.
Depending on the intended application, relatively simple to technically sophisticated contactless chip cards are available. The integrated chip controls the communication with the reader, the reception of the data, the storage of the data on the card, its encryption and the protection of the access to the data by unauthorised persons.
The reader emits electromagnetic waves which create a magnetic field when they hit the antenna of the chip card. Passive smart cards use the energy of this magnetic field to feed the electronic circuits of the chip. The chip converts the received signals and sends them back to the reader, where they are transformed into digital data.
