In order to use the new ribbon, a firmware update of your printer is necessary. After the update, only the new article numbers can be used.

Tip: Make a small stock of the required ribbons and films for the HID Fargo HDP5000. These have an unlimited shelf life and will not break. Most of the manufacturers do not come from the EU, so that due to supply chains, customs regulations or logistic bottlenecks it can happen that planned and promised delivery dates to us are delayed for weeks.
