Revolutionary technology from HID Fargo. The HID Fargo INK1000 is an inkjet printer that can even print on PVC cards. Suitable for most standard (PVC) cards and single-sided thermal inkjet card printing, including laminated PVC cards for credit card production.

Quality: High quality and high resolution card printing with a resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi delivers sharp and brilliant prints, and completely over-the-edge. The prints are sharper than most conventional card printers. Due to the absence of an overlay, the print results are more matte, which prevents a partly unnatural shine of the cards. The black tones are generated by mixing the 3 ink colours (YMC). Therefore a separate black ink cartridge is not necessary.
 

Technique: Excellent image retention due to thermal technology and very special ink for ideal adhesion on the plastic cards as well as fast drying. The special UV stability prevents the images from fading. You can use the cards immediately after printing, a drying time is not necessary.
 

Usage: The ink cartridge contains the colours YMC (Yellow, Magenta, Cyan) from which all colours can be mixed (black is therefore rather a very dark grey). The advantage of this printing method is that only as much material is really used as you need (in contrast to all other card printers, which use the material for a complete card page, regardless of the amount of ink actually needed). Especially with smaller images on the cards (e.g. passport images on employee ID cards), the Fargo INK1000 is much more efficient, as it does not use the material for a complete card page.
 

Printing costs: The printing costs per card vary greatly with inkjet printing. The selected motif, card quality and print settings are decisive factors here. If you print the complete card, the costs are about € 0,40 per card side. However, if you only print a passport photo with your name, the price is reduced to € 0.15 per card. Our opinion: We recommend the HID Fargo INK1000 especially for lower print volumes with partial images, logos or graphics as well as for ID cards, employee ID cards and access control with RFID technology.

The card printer HID Fargo INK1000 is connected to your computer via USB cable, just like any other printer. Printing on plastic cards works in principle the same way as printing on paper. Changing the ink cartridge is done by opening the flap and is absolutely uncomplicated and takes only 1 minute. You can start printing from any program (Word, Office, Coral Draw etc.).
